The Community Shelter of Union County
The Community Shelter of Union County provides food, emergency shelter and instruction to those individuals and families in need within our community. We promote a pathway to self-sufficiency which includes income stabilization and permanent housing.
Ready to get involved and help the community shelter go further, faster?
Option #1: Provide a meal for residents of the shelter. The shelter provides breakfast, lunch & dinner, 365 days a week to clients, but they could use your help! Visit this link to claim a meal slot and serve your favorite homemade recipe to the residents.
Option # 2: Volunteer time in the Home Again Warehouse. Looking for a way to serve outside of the kitchen? Help the Home Again Warehouse staff get organized and prepared for a re-homing placement. Email the UCCS team to set up a time!
Option #3: Mark your calendar and attend UCCS fundraising events. The shelter operates through the generosity of people in our community like YOU! Check out the upcoming events and plan to come out and support their mission.
Option #4: Host a drive for high-need items. The shelter is always on the look out for speciality food and hygiene items and ANY donation is helpful! Take a look at the high-needs list, updated monthly and make a donation to help the UCCS team care for their clients. Learn more here.
